The World’s First Camera Lens Calendar

Sharad Haksar has created a desktop calendar that looks like a camera lens.

The calendar is sculpted from a single block of aluminum and the focus, shutter speed and aperture rings are used to display the year, month and date.

Architect/Photographer Kazuhiko Kawahara

Digitally morphing the outlook of your conventional building, Japanese architect/photographer Kazuhiko Kawahara manipulates various images to create his distinct architecture style. The works can be attributed as a method to prototype certain projects rather than following the traditional norm. Clarifying his unorthodox kaleidoscope style furthermore, Kawahara seamlessly meshes ordinary structures into a rather unique form of expression.

I really like her work...

AMAZING!!!

New York-based Photographer David Bergman recently uploaded an enormous 1,474 Megapixel image of Barack Obama’s Presidential inauguration within his website. Using his Canon G10, Bergman snapped 220 photos using his camera and a gigapan imager, putting them together over a six hour period.

The complete image can be viewed here.

Nikki Farquharson - Mixed Media Girl

Nikki Farquharson is a young London-based graphic designer and illustrator.
Her ongoing project, Mixed Media Girls, gives the viewer a lot to look at. The collages appear innocent and sweet but at the same time exude sharp, pent-up energy that does not feel altogether safe. The title of the work is also wonderfully suggestive — or not, depending on how the reader wishes to understand it.

Farquharson’s work extends from the one-dimensional world to book projects and 3D pieces in which she often ponders and twists the meaning of words and proverbs, spies on conversations, and questions established truths.

Photographer Michael Kenna

Michael Kenna, maybe the best landscape photographer, presents a spiritual and intense work.

“I get to look at the stars and the clouds. It’s real luxury in this life to have nothing to do for few hours and be creative at the same time.” Michael Kenna interviewed by Erin Clark, Artworks.
